Real price bands for replacement doors, spraying, worktops and a full kitchen refresh in Wiltshire, Bath and the South West.
The short answer: set aside from £6,000 to £10,000 to replace the doors and drawer fronts in a typical kitchen, including installation. Spraying the doors you already have costs from £120 to £150 per item, and new worktops from £5,000 to £8,000.
Prices on this page are the bands I actually work to, not marketing figures. Every kitchen is different, so each project is quoted from the room itself after a free Home Design Visit. What follows should tell you whether the work is in your range before you pick up the phone.
from £6,000 to £10,000
Made to your existing cabinet sizes and fitted, including new hinges and handles where they are needed. The range reflects the number of doors and fronts, the style and the finish rather than any hidden extras.
from £120 to £150
Priced per door, drawer front or panel where the item can be removed and brought back to the workshop. Parts that must be sprayed in situ, such as cabinet frames and end panels, cost more because of the masking and protection needed to keep overspray out of your home.
from £5,000 to £8,000
Quartz, granite or timber, including laser templating in your home, fabrication and professional installation. Sinks and taps are quoted separately so you can choose freely.
from £1,000 to £4,000
Dismantling your existing kitchen (removing doors & panels and for more extensive projects, removal of cabinets, sinks & plumbing, gas hobs, worktops and appliances) is necessary before the new installation work can proceed.
Three things move the price: how many doors and drawer fronts there are, the style and material you choose, and how much of the kitchen you want to change at the same time. A galley kitchen with ten doors sits at the bottom of the band. A large room with an island, a tall larder and twenty five fronts sits at the top.
Because the cabinets stay where they are, none of the usual replacement costs apply. No new flooring, no replastering, no retiling, and no weeks of eating out of a microwave in the hall.
If your doors are solid, sound and a style you still like, spraying is the least expensive route: from £120 to £150 per removable item, prepared and finished at my Corsham workshop. Anything that has to be sprayed in place, such as the cabinet frames and end panels, costs more because your home has to be masked and protected from overspray first.
If the doors are damaged, foil-wrapped MDF, dated in shape, or you want a different style altogether, replacement fronts are better value in the long run. I will tell you plainly which category yours fall into during the Home Design Visit.
New worktops run from £5,000 to £8,000 in quartz, granite or timber, including laser templating in your home, fabrication and professional installation. Sinks and taps are quoted separately, so you can spend where it matters to you.
Worktops are usually fitted in a single day as a guide, which is why a refresh causes so little upheaval compared with a full replacement.

from £15,000 to £20,000
Keeping the layout and sound carcasses, then renewing everything you see and touch: doors and drawer fronts, worktops, sink, tap, handles and internal storage.
from £20,000 to £30,000
A new layout designed in your home and built from high quality UK-made cabinetry (in standard and custom sizes). Bespoke additions where they genuinely help.
from £30,000 to £50,000 and above
Created for your unique space and made from solid timber in my Corsham workshop, including complete kitchens, islands, dressers and freestanding furniture.
